Job Summary: The Warehouse/Runner stores food items and supplies in their proper places enabling other employees to more efficiently perform their job duties. You will also be asked to help with kitchen-related duties from time to time.
Duties and responsibilities:
- All employees are expected to uphold our company’s values, vision, and mission in their daily work and interactions, ensuring alignment with our core principles and goals.
- Transportation and storage of food and supplies for Smorgasbord, picking up and transporting food and supplies from the Farm Market to the Smorgasbord, and receiving deliveries.
- Removing and disposing of trash, cardboard as well as skids.
- Assist Gift Shop personnel with the retrieval of supplies.
- Utilize a motor vehicle, motorized pallet jacks, wheeled carts, and commercial elevator in the stocking of food supplies for the Smorgasbord
- Must have a valid PA driver’s license
- Receive and maintain any required motorized equipment certifications
- Write up lists and sale bills for food and supplies picked up at the Farm Market
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the management.
- Follow company health and safety expectations and all department standards, policies, and procedures

Education and Experience: Must be 18 years or older. On-the-job training is supplied
Expected Outcomes:
- Food and supplies are safely and efficiently transported through the proper use of equipment.
- Runner duties are efficiently accomplished and sale bills are accurate and legible.
- All food and supplies are properly stored and adequately available to Smorgasbord employees when needed.
- Assigned duties are completed properly and promptly
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
- Must be able to lift up to 80lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Be able to move around quickly
- Walking, bending, kneeling, standing, pushing and pulling
- Ability to stand on feet for the duration of the shift
