When I was a child, my whole family, including grandparents, would travel from Burlington, NJ to Lancaster, PA every October. My grandmother’s birthday was in October. We loved this time of year because of the leaves changing colors and the weather was usually not bad. We would travel around to different farmers markets and outlets. Dinner was a tradition at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. It was always a meal to remember. Now I’m a grandmother and have continued this tradition with my children and grandchildren and they enjoy it just as much as I ever did. We always have to save enough time to explore the famous , giant, gift shop as well. This restaurant is definitely worth the drive. Love the food and the atmosphere.
