Job Summary: The Hosts’ provide exceptional customer service and assistance in a friendly and professional manner. Main duties include greeting, communicating, and seating customers. Other duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining the host/hostess area, and bussing tables.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Greet customers and communicate with them e.g. group size, special chairs needed, meal change-over times/price changes, etc.
- Seat customers, explain specials and buffet setup, and assist them with questions and problems as necessary.
- Perform duties related to the host/hostess area e.g. keeping supplies stocked, routine organizing, minor cleaning of the dining room floor, etc.
- Assist in bussing tables.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the management e.g. help with setup and disassembly of private rooms, dusting and general cleaning of the dining room, etc.
Required skills and abilities:
- Able to have comfortable interactions with customers and coworkers
- Basic communication skills & fluent in English
- Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to function as a “team player” with peers.
- Display a willing and teachable attitude toward developing leadership/managerial skills as outlined in the performance appraisal.
Education and Experience: No formal education is required

- Lift/carry objects 10lbs or less 99% of the time
- Walking, bending, standing 100% of the time
- Be able to move around quickly
